How to Install Gnome Classic in Ubuntu 12.04


This tutorial will explain how to install classic gnome desktop in ubuntu 12.04.By default ubuntu 12.04 loads in to unity desktop some of the users didn't like unity desktop so they want to get back the old classic gnome desktop.
Install classic gnome desktop in ubuntu 12.04
Open the terminal and run one of the following commands both does the same


$ sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback

or

$ sudo apt-get install gnome-panel


Once you install the classic gnome desktop you need to logout from the existing session.Once you are at logon screen click the option to change your session then choose Gnome Classic to logon.


then Gnome Classic already successfully installed in Ubuntu 12.04.





How to install Ubuntu 12.04

I want to explain how to install Ubuntu 12.4 LTS

Click shortcut Install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS


choosse the language : Choose english language

The minimum requaire for install Ubuntu 12.04 you need 8GB free space harddisk and if you want to use laptop for savely the adaptor must plugin and than Click Continue



Choose Something else

in this partition choose /dev/sda6 ext4, then click change button



- Use as choose Ext4 journaling file system
- Check list Format the partition
- Mount point choose /
  and than click OK.

- click install now to continue with the installation process, if there a mistaken click Revert to reset


- select your time zone by clicking the area on the map, and than click Continue


choose English (US), and than click Continue


Enter your name, your computer's name, username dan password login.
and than click Continue.

Import document from Windows, check list if you want to import
and than click Continue


The installation process



When installation is complete a message will appear as below.
Click Restart Now and unplug the flashdisk from laptop.


Next will come a choice like this.
choose Ubuntu select the top or the existing literature "generic-pae"


 Ubuntu has been installed
